Sonoco's paper container has been updated with a paper bottom. This innovative feature adds a more recyclable package designed to meet the needs of demanding products & supply chains across a broad variety of markets. This package is +90% paper fiber content, made from 100% recycled paperboard in the can body. It protects your product while lessening the impact on the environment.

Environmental Perspective:
- Recycled Content - Can body contains 100% recycled content; a minimum of 60% post-consumer recycled content.
- Greenhouse Gas Emissions - Fiber is a renewable resource that has a lower carbon footprint per kilogram than metals, glass, and some plastic packaging formats. Its ability to be recycled contributes to circular production.
- Fiber Certification - Rigid Paper containers are produced from materials that carry fiber certification (FSC, PEFC, SFI).
- Responsible Sourcing - This package is predominately comprised of paper, utilizing minimal amounts of plastic, +90% paper, ~6-8% plastic, ~2-4% Alum/Met. Compared to virgin fiber, sourcing recycled fiber typically has a lower impact on the environment (water use, energy use, and land use).
- Recyclability - This package is pre-qualified for How2Recycle® Check Locally label. All package components are designed to be recycled in the global paper packaging stream.
