Packaging Première & PCD Milan is a long-awaited event in the packaging industry, attracting the interest of professionals, experts and brands looking for the latest innovations and trends. In addition to the exhibition line-up, which for this edition will feature around 310 companies, Packaging Première & PCD Milan offers a range of collateral projects which further enrich the experience.

Conferences involving brands and experts from all over the world
Dom Pérignon, Bally, Pantone, Garnier, Kiko are just some of the names that will be on stage to discuss the latest topics in the world of luxury, packaging and design: from Korean cosmetics to sensorial marketing, from AI to 3D printing, from sustainability to innovative materials. Avant Garde
In an era where design and sustainability are a priority, this project focuses on materials or products that are recognised as worthy in terms of innovation, implying a benefit in use for society or the environment, and belong to one or more of the following categories: innovative materials, sustainability in the production chain and in the execution of the proposal, innovative design for aesthetics, design and functionality for the brand and the consumer. Avant Garde offers an in-depth look at the most innovative solutions in the packaging sector, developed by exhibitors and design agencies, evaluated by a jury of experts. The selected projects will be exhibited in a dedicated area and the winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on 23 May in the conference hall.
Workshop
X-Rite Pantone, the world leader in colour, will hold a session that explores the technical subjects and fundamentals of colour and its use in design and print industry management: from the perception of colour to its measurement, from the importance of lighting to colours and challenges in the packaging supply chain, from the digitalisation to practical tests. 'Colour management from design to print', scheduled for 22 May from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Packaging Première & PCD Milan (Gate 4, Hall 3), is a limited number event: only 20 companies will be able to attend the workshop, after which they will receive a certificate of participation in the FOCA (Fundamentals of Colour) and colour management training. Design Hub
An outstanding opportunity to experience excellence in packaging design. Four top agencies specialising in wine and spirits packaging design (Advision, BasileADV, Officina Grafica and O,nice! Design Studio) will present their projects, providing a valuable source of inspiration in terms of branding and packaging.
Exhibitions
Packaging Première & PCD Milan aims to engage visitors through exclusive exhibitions, including GINnasium and Paper Posh.
GINnasium is a creative exercise involving for the first time a neuromarketing study with the final consumer. 5 designers, 5 regions - Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Apulia, Sicily - 5 ways of interpreting gin packaging. Each designer conceived two gin bottles inspired by his region, which will be displayed in the conference room area and presented in a dedicated talk on 22 May, with the participation of Portofino Dry Gin, Sense Catch, UPM Raflatac, So.Ve.Mec.
Paper Posh is an augmented imagination project conceived by artists Andrea Filippi & Gabriele Moschin: a selection of visionary and sophisticated shopping bags, created using Artificial Intelligence software, exploring decidedly original and unprecedented paper structures. Fourteen shopping bags on display at Packaging Première, which represent a challenge for the packaging design of the future.
Materioteca by Materially
Materially, an independent consulting company and leading reference in Italy in the research and development of innovative and sustainable materials for the manufacturing industry and any design-driven application, will be setting up a library to introduce visitors and exhibitors to the most innovative materials for packaging.
