
A record number of 1500 participants from 60 countries participated in the Green Product Awards 2024, demonstrating the growing importance of sustainable products and materials in shaping a more sustainable future. The increasing importance of sustainable products and materials plays a key role in the transformation to a circular economy.
Nominees, jury, club members, partners and embassy representatives gathered for the awards ceremony on the 30th April, in the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies in Berlin. The event featured presentations from industry experts and pitches from the next generation of designers who have completed the Green Cells program co-funded by the IKEA Stiftung, followed by a curated matchmaking session and the announcement of the winners.
Examples of the jury selected winners are:
A Leather alternative made of hemp fibres, called LOVR™ by Revoltech GmbH, GreenMarathon, the first circular bicycle tyre by Schwalbe, cable ties made of wood, mannequins made of recycled paper by Pasqual Arnella, Little Skittles - the noiseless bowling game for children made of cork, Conscious Confetti, a biodegradable confetti made from what would otherwise be wastage, from edible paper production, CUBE, a hemp-based office system from VANK, mini city cars that shrink when parked, sustainable biocapsules that are used with drones to replant rainforests, and many more.
In addition, public winners were chosen in an online vote in which over 60,000 votes were cast.

Products from companies and start-ups have been honoured, stand out for their sustainability, design and impact. In parallel, the Green Concept Award, in cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung, honours students and young designers in particular who have visionary concepts, supports them with the Green Cells program, showcases them at exhibitions, promotes and encourages their further development. The awards are presented in each category for the best product from a company, a start-up and the best concept.
The Green Future Club is a network of sustainable innovators and experts with a vision for a near future in which all products are sustainable. The Club organises awards, exhibitions and networking events, supports young designers as part of the Green Cells program and publishes the annual Green Trend Book with international best practices. Members benefit from knowledge exchange, networking, co-creation, access to talent and investment options as well as reduced fees for Award submissions.
