The BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – is representing its 200+ membership, in addition to over 20 exhibiting members at this year’s Contract Pack & Fulfilment show, now established as an essential part of the UK’s leading packaging event – Packaging Innovations & Empack.
Held at the NEC, Birmingham on 15th & 16th February, Contract Pack & Fulfilment is focussed on the BCMPA hospitality lounge and has been a valued fixture at the event since 2008. This year’s show is the largest to date and provides retailers, manufacturers, and brands with the opportunity to meet the BCMPA team (who will be demonstrating their free online search facility), and a wide array of potential outsourcing partners to discuss their contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics projects.
Covering an extensive range of industrial sectors, including Food & Drink, Nutraceuticals, Personal Care, Household Chemicals, General Co-Packing, Gift Packing, and eCommerce Fulfilment amongst others, BCMPA members will demonstrate the increasingly vital role that the third-party supply chain plays in commerce.
From new product development, pack design, filling, contract packing and white/private label products, through to an extensive range of storage and logistics services for those customers requiring a one-stop shop, experts will be on hand to provide bespoke and effective solutions for visitors.
The BCMPA will also be hosting two Speaker Panels at the show, focusing on the benefits of outsourcing production to 3rd party manufacturers and the advantages of using Contract Packers for eCommerce and Fulfilment projects.
Both presentations will be moderated by the BCMPA’s Membership & Marketing Director, Emma Verkaik, and feature a number of BCMPA members, including Complete Co-Packing Services, Expac, Project 7, PHL Group, Prolog Fulfilment and Kinaxia Logistics & Fulfilment. The sessions will showcase the benefits of outsourcing in an economic downturn, and illustrate how 3rd parties can be flexible and adaptable in overcoming the many challenges in the supply chain, to help customers take their products to market.
These discussions are an ideal platform for manufacturers and retailers to discover how outsourcing can add value, efficiency, and cost benefits to their brands.
Rodney Steel, CEO of the BCMPA said; “The huge variety of exhibitors at Packaging Innovations & Empack demonstrates that packaging materials and machinery are only part of the picture in our industry. Contract Pack & Fulfilment is now fully established as a major element within the show.
“An extensive pool of knowledge and expertise is required throughout the whole procedure of successful and economical sourcing, packing and delivery of products. BCMPA members are the perfect partners in this complex process.
“This year, the need of retailers, brands and new entrepreneurs for third party outsourcing will continue to grow, and we welcome visitors to come along to the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Zone to find out more.”
Packaging Innovations is a pre-eminent event in the exhibition calendar, and after recent lock down restrictions, promotes and supports the huge benefits of effective, face to face interaction. Supported by the attendance of over 300 exhibitors and more than 50 expert speakers, this year’s show, and the increased prominence of Contract Pack & Fulfilment, makes it a must-see for all visitors.
