Following a long tradition, the Taiwanese performance materials producer CHIMEI and the international distributor for plastics and additives Biesterfeld Plastic will exhibit together at the K show. This year, the joint appearance from October 19-26 in Düsseldorf will focus in particular on the megatrend of sustainability.
CHIMEI will launch a new, sustainable product portfolio at K 2022. This includes CHIMEI’s latest breakthrough in chemically recycled, optical-grade PMMA, which will be exhibiting on the Biesterfeld x CHIMEI booth. In addition, CHIMEI will hold talks on Chemical Recycling in the Future of Acrylics at Room 6 / Congress Center Dusseldorf (CCD) South, exploring material innovation’s balance between sustainability and performance. The topic of sustainability is also of importance for Biesterfeld in October. The distributor intends to make its technical expertise and consulting services available to visitors at the booth and will provide information on its portfolio of resource-saving materials “Smart. Sustainable. Solutions.” The solutions on offer include polymers based on innovative production methods, renewable raw materials or various processing approaches such as chemical and mechanical recycling. The materials range from polyolefins through all classes of plastics to high-performance polymers.
“The long-standing, trusting cooperation between Biesterfeld and CHIMEI will find expression this year again in a joint appearance at the K trade fair,” says Wilhelm Postel, Business Manager Advanced Polymers, Biesterfeld Plastic. “We are already very much looking forward to welcoming our partners and customers, personally, at our booth.”
“CHIMEI is making some very important breakthroughs, particularly in chemically recycled acrylics, which we cannot wait to share with the K 2022 community,” says Wayne Lin, Deputy Director, CHIMEI Corporation. “We look forward to reuniting with our longstanding strategic partner, Biesterfeld, to welcoming partners and customers at our booth, and to sharing our thoughts on chemical recycling in the future of acrylics.”
The joint booth of the two companies is located in Hall 5, Booth B18.
