The UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative has announced Tata Steel as its latest funding partner. With the ambition of increasing aerosol recycling rates across the UK, the programme was launched in September 2022 by Alupro.
As one of Europe’s largest steel producers, Tata Steel specialises in the production of premium flat steel products and services for global customers. The two subsidiaries of the business serve a variety of demanding markets, including packaging, construction, infrastructure, automotive and engineering.
The UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative, on the other hand, is working to achieve a national aerosol recycling rate target of 50% by 2030. Earlier this year, the group collaborated to produce a visionary roadmap, outlining its long-term strategic approach in driving an uplift in national capture and recycling rates.
The funding will support an ongoing programme of activity, including data collection, stakeholder engagement, behavioural change and external communications.
