VPK Packaging UK & Ireland, part of VPK Group, has appointed three of the UK’s most respected family-run logistics providers - Campeys of Selby, Premier Logistics, and Wrings Transport - to deliver a new national storage and distribution solution supporting its UK packaging operations.
The partnership brings together the scale and reach of a major third-party logistics provider (3PL) with the agility, service commitment, and local expertise of SME family businesses. Working together under the framework of the Transport Association (TA), the three companies will manage the transport of full-load and high-volume packaging from VPK’s main UK manufacturing sites to customers across the food, retail, and e-commerce sectors.
For smaller palletised consignments, distribution will be routed through the Palletforce network, providing an efficient, high-quality solution for mixed or partial loads.
Sustainability and operational efficiency are central to the new model. By aligning trunking routes and consolidating freight flows across the partner network, VPK will significantly reduce empty running, lower emissions, and improve fleet utilisation. The collaboration also allows for full-load backhauling and optimised scheduling, driving both environmental and financial benefits.

Premier Logistics’ Leicestershire facility will serve as the partnership’s central hub, providing warehousing and consolidation capabilities. Embedded transport planners, shunting operations, and stand trailers will be deployed at each VPK site to ensure seamless coordination. A dedicated customer portal within the transport management system (TMS) will provide real-time visibility, live updates, and full POD documentation.
A key aspect of the partnership is its focus on continual improvement and innovation. By leveraging shared data and decades of sector experience, the collaboration will identify new opportunities to enhance booking slot management, load fill, and network efficiency, ensuring a logistics operation that evolves with customer needs.
The model has been designed to be scalable and replicable, providing a robust framework capable of supporting VPK’s future growth and potential expansion across the UK. The strength and shared values of the TA network mean additional regional members can be integrated seamlessly as VPK’s operations evolve.
