From August this year, strict design-for-recycling criteria start to apply that mean that, within four years, all packaging materials in Europe will need to be recyclable.
At the same time, significant pressures on brands to make their packaging more obviously and easily recyclable are coming from consumers.
That’s why many brands are looking at mono-material paper packaging boasting high-performance barrier papers as an option to provide the PPWR-ready solutions that multilayer plastic packaging cannot.
