Dr. Thorben Finken will be appointed to the Executive Board of Progroup on 1 October 2025. On 15 October 2025, he will take over the role of Chief Financial Officer from Dr. Volker Metz, who is leaving the company at the end of the year.

Working with him and his colleagues on the Executive Board, Vinzenz Heindl (CSO), Beate Flamm (CCO) and Dr. Marc Sesterhenn (COO), Finken will continue to drive forward the company’s focus on ensuring it has a secure future.

Dr. Thorben Finken holds a doctorate in business administration and has more than 25 years of leadership experience in roles with financial responsibility, focusing on strategic corporate development and transformation. He began his career at McKinsey & Comp., and then spent over 15 years in leadership roles at The Linde Group, including as CFO UK & Africa. He has also held positions at Olympus Europe, including as COO Europe, and most recently the position of Group CFO at the Prym Group.
