The findings underscore the importance of fostering collaboration between maintenance and operations teams to unlock higher levels of operational efficiency and sustainability in the bottling industry.

- Sustainability Takes Centre Stage:
- 42% of respondents identified driving sustainability goals as a top three challenge.
- Waste reduction (63%), plastic reduction (52%), and carbon footprint (48%) emerged as key metrics for progress.
- Opportunities in Data and Technology:
- Despite 92% of manufacturers having real-time visibility into critical assets, outdated data storage methods like spreadsheets (72%) and pen and paper (16%) remain common.
- 81% of businesses are ready to adopt or are on the cutting edge of AI and IoT technologies, driven by innovation culture (59%) and competitive pressure (57%).
- Workforce Challenges Persist:
- Workforce recruitment and training (25%) and retention and upskilling (19%) were highlighted as significant obstacles.
