Premium water brand Wenlock Spring has unveiled a striking new sculpture - and it's here to fight waste, not villains.
Coolertron, Droid number H-20 is made entirely from repurposed water cooler components – including cases, lids, drip trays and cup dispensers - and has been commissioned as part of the company’s mission to drive awareness around sustainability and recycling.
Crafted by artist Luke Kite, the sculpture aims to inspire consumers and businesses alike to reconsider how materials are used and how sustainability can be embedded into everyday decision-making.
Bruce Orme, Director at Wenlock Spring, which has supplied high-quality spring water to the hospitality and specialist retail sectors for over 30 years, said: “Coolertron is more than a sculpture - it’s a statement.
“It represents our belief that sustainability should be embedded in every part of our business, and is a bold, creative embodiment of our long-standing commitment to the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle.
“Created to spark curiosity in the community and get people of all ages thinking differently about waste, Coolertron reflects our desire to start meaningful conversations and encourage positive action.
“We’ve always believed that progress comes from action, not just intention, and Coolertron is proof of that in physical form.”
The launch of the sculpture comes at a time when Wenlock Spring is continuing to lead on sustainable packaging innovation, offering fully-recyclable glass and PET bottles and aluminium cans, and investing in long-term circular practices across its supply chain.
The company recently received industry recognition for its efforts, winning Best Sustainable Product at The Vendies Awards, where judges praised its end-to-end environmental strategy.
“We don’t just meet sustainability standards - we aim to set them.
“From renewable energy to regenerative agriculture, we see our land, our packaging and our processes as part of a bigger picture.
“Coolertron is our way of bringing that story to life in a visually impactful way, and is a creative and powerful reminder of what’s possible when we rethink waste.
“We want it to spark curiosity and get people thinking. Everyone has a part to play, and even small changes can have a big impact,” Bruce added.
