On Thursday, July 3, Barcelona Packaging Hub successfully held the inaugural edition of its Interdepartmental Sessions, a new initiative aimed at fostering the exchange of experiences and best practices among the companies associated with the hub.
The session, focused on the financial area, took place at the facilities of Effytec, an associated company that also actively participated in the event. The meeting brought together finance directors and professionals from Barcelona Packaging Hub member companies in an open, collaborative, and enriching environment, designed around the shared interests previously expressed by the participants.
During the session, attendees exchanged experiences and approaches regarding common financial challenges, generating valuable collective learning. Topics discussed included the digitalization of accounting processes, automation of electronic invoicing, and the use of artificial intelligence and data analysis to support decision-making. They also shared practices related to management of collections, defaults, and cost control, as well as treasury and taxation issues, including surplus management, R&D tax deductions, international double taxation, and the impact of tariffs in key markets such as the United States.
Additionally, the event provided an opportunity for networking among financial professionals from the various companies, strengthening connections and encouraging collaboration beyond technical exchange.
The hub highlights that this first session has represented a very positive starting point to reinforce connections between key departments of the associated companies and to continue promoting a collaborative culture within the Barcelona Packaging Hub ecosystem.
This event is part of a series of interdepartmental sessions driven by Barcelona Packaging Hub, with the goal of continuously generating collective value and fostering the joint growth of its members.
