Reuseabox provides a better way for businesses to buy cardboard boxes by helping them reduce their costs and their environmental impact. As a certified B Corp, we are on a mission to inspire companies to reuse cardboard boxes before they are recycled while investing in the planet to create a better future.
Reuseabox was founded in 2015 by Jack Good shortly after he left school. In just 9 years with key investment in local people and becoming customer-centric in its approach, our team has grown rapidly to a multi-million-pound company. Reuseabox is the only packaging provider that promotes circularity and is actively inspiring a global community to take action in these critical times for our planet. By doing so, we have developed partnerships with household names and global brands including Royal Mail, Yeo Valley, Oddbox, Tim’s Dairy, Hovis and Evri.
When companies choose to buy your boxes from Reuseabox, they are making a conscious decision to choose packaging that supports a more Circular Economy. And by prolonging the life of cardboard boxes, we keep the cardboard in use for longer, reduce waste and protect our natural resources. We align with Sustainable Development Goal 12.2 – to achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources by 2030. Cardboard boxes are not single-use items and we’re on a mission to help companies cut waste and protect the planet by keeping them in use for longer. Most businesses see cardboard boxes as a sustainable packaging solution, but what they don’t realise is cardboard cannot be recycled infinitely and the process itself requires vast amounts of water and energy. With increasing concerns around climate change and operating sustainably, we partnered with the University of Lincoln back in 2019 and a team of environmental consultants to develop the first-of-its-kind environmental tool that compares the environmental benefits of cardboard box reuse to recycling. We use the tool to provide companies with regular reports so they can see the positive environmental impact they are making when they choose to reuse. Using the tool, companies can see the amount of carbon, water, energy and trees they have saved by choosing to reuse rather than recycle or buy new boxes.
At a time when all businesses are under pressure to report on their ESG commitments, these reports help our suppliers and customers demonstrate their drive to achieve net zero. S o many packaging companies state they are ‘eco-friendly’ but we have the only environmental impact tool within this sector that is completely free and demonstrates how businesses are helping to make a difference for their suppliers and their customers, and reducing their carbon footprint.
