U.S.-based automation specialist Trans Automation Technologies has become the official sales partner of packaging machinery manufacturer Greif-Velox for the state of California. In addition, both companies plan to closely collaborate on automation and robotics projects across the United States.
Expanding market presence and local value creation
Through this new partnership, Greif-Velox aims to further penetrate the strategically important U.S. market – particularly within the food industry. Trans Automation Technologies’ established customer base opens new sales opportunities for Greif-Velox systems in California and for joint customer projects across the United States. The collaboration also enables greater local value creation for U.S. projects, which is especially relevant in light of current tariff regulations.
Complementary end-of-line expertise
Trans Automation Technologies will contribute its extensive experience in robotic automation to Greif-Velox customer projects, particularly in supplying end-of-line transport systems and palletizing robots. A further benefit of the partnership is the ability to adapt Greif-Velox systems more precisely to local technical requirements – such as control technology and electrical standards. Trans Automation Technologies brings indepth expertise in electrical design and programming of robotic and PLC control systems, specifically with Rockwell Automation components and Fanuc robotic systems. “This partnership marks an important milestone for us in the North American market. With Trans Automation Technologies, we gain not only an experienced partner in automation technology, but also access to a well-established customer network – especially in the food industry,” says Sebastian Pohl, Managing Director of Greif-Velox. “Together, we can develop automation solutions that are even better tailored to the specific demands of the U.S. market.”
