The Sheet Plant Association (SPA) is proud to announce that, thanks to the incredible support from members who attended the UK Corrugated Industry Trade Show 2024 (UKCITS24) Gala Dinner Charity Auction, it has donated an impressive £14,230 to Mind, the leading mental health charity in the UK.
This generous contribution will help Mind continue their essential work supporting mental health and well-being across the country. Mental health is a critical issue in every industry, and SPA is committed to raising awareness and providing support to those in need.
The SPA was delighted to welcome Rebecca Conlon and her colleague from Mind to the SPA 110th Conference in Daventry on Monday 3rd February, where they addressed delegates and gratefully received the cheque, on behalf of their charity.
In addition to the donation to Mind, the Gala Dinner Charity Auction raised funds for a number of nominated charities, reflecting the outstanding generosity and community spirit of SPA members. Donations were also pledged to Crohns and Colitis, Home Start North Worcestershire, South West Children’s Hospice and The Big Cat Sanctuary.
The SPA would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to these fundraising efforts.
