At the heart of Albéa's strategy, innovation will also be in the spotlight at this year's LuxePack in Monaco. At booth DE07, the Cosmetics & Fragrance team will be unveiling the latest innovations focusing on a unique customer experience by offering skincare and make-up solutions designed to meet consumer needs in terms of intuitiveness and sustainability.
New at LuxePack: Responsible and ergonomic skincare solutions
Refillable beauty will be one of the key topics at this year’s appearance. The team will be showcasing some novelties tailored for skincare, body care, and hair care products. One of the newcomers in Monaco is Polaris, a mono-material PP and refillable jar with a fully new concept for maximum ease of use: the cap is attached to the base with an invisible hinge thus solving any cap issue and providing full access to the formula. Polaris is refillable with the TWIRL system.
“In order to further drive the adoption of refillable solutions, our role is to make them really simple - in other words: intuitive.” explains Aline Roland, Marketing Director at Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance. “With our newest jar concept “Polaris”, we have taken another step forward by combining a unique and sophisticated design with a significant reduced environmental impact”.
To lower its environmental impact, Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance is accelerating the use of safe and recyclable materials by extending its range of mono-material solutions. One of the latest innovations is Pure Drop, an elegant dropper made of 100% PP.
In the spotlight: Expertise for brushes, applicators and lip glosses
In Monaco, the team will also be showcasing some of the latest innovations of the Albéa Beauty Lab, the company’s global center of expertise for fiber or plastic brushes and applicators. With tailor-made solutions for various brands and a portfolio of 600 standard applicators, Albéa Beauty Lab has been demonstrating the capacity for innovation and creativity of the company for 10 years.
Aline Roland states: “Every brand is unique, so as our Beauty Lab solutions. Nearly everything is possible as we can play with different shapes of brushes and applicators as well as materials. At our booth, visitors will have to opportunity to see tailor-made products that helped makeup and skincare brands stand out in their market.”
Expanded PCR product range
In parallel to plastic reduction initiated with the EcoTop product range, Albéa Tubes now accelerates the integration of recycled content in the whole tube. In line with the Group’s commitment to the circular economy, Albéa Tubes has worked on integrating recycled material in each component of the tube, especially the caps. By now addressing the caps and making the tube fully recycling-ready, the company makes strides towards circularity.A range of caps will be showcased at the booth: Slight Cap and Basic Cap with 70% of PCR PP. Tubes could reach up to 60% of recycled material, depending on the chosen sleeve and head. The caps are available with both extruded and laminated tubes.
Blending sustainability into desirability through decoration
Albéa Tubes reinforces its decoration capabilities with the “Advanced Decoration by NovaPrint™”. This technology now offers enhanced decoration and responsible options. The most innovative printing solution on the market allows the combination of the best of extruded and laminate:
- from laminate tube, printing flat- from extruded tube, the absence of side-seam and the premium offered by extruded
Therefore, printing flat on a PE film and welding it on extruded tubes allows the technology to achieve sophisticated, premium and complex designs by combining multiple printing technologies: flexo, cold stamping, overprinted foil and more.
A responsible technology
“Advanced Decoration by NovaPrintTM” ticks all the boxes of a more sustainable solution: a reduced sleeve thickness reducing the tube's weight combined with a less energy consuming production process for a lower carbon footprint. In addition, the incorporation of 100% recycled material (PCR) in the extruded sleeve allows to reach 57% of recycled content in a tube integrating the ultra-light EcoFusion Top. Finally, the solution is fully recycling-ready in the HDPE stream.
“The decoration of plastic tubes is key to both brand differentiation and identity as well as consumer engagement, but it should not compromise on sustainability.”, explains Caroline Hughes, Marketing Director Albéa Tubes. “Advanced Decoration by NovaPrint™ is the solution where sustainability meets desirability and a technological revolution that answers customers' needs for desirable and sustainable tubes while aligning with our common commitment to reducing plastic consumption and the overall environmental footprint.”
