Awarded by Bureau Veritas, the certification validates SGD Pharma’s advanced sustainable manufacturing capabilities and supports global brands in meeting rigorous environmental standards.
PCR glass manufacturing is integral to SGD Pharma’s global decarbonization strategy, which targets a 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions and a 25% cut in Scope 3 emissions by 2030 (based on 2022 baselines). The use of PCR glass directly contributes to this goal: according to the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), every 10% increase in recycled cullet reduces energy use by 3% and CO₂ emissions by 5%*. The certification confirms that SGD Pharma’s Zhanjiang plant in China uses between 18% to 35% PCR content, measured in line with FEVE’s calculation standards.
