The event, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on February 12 & 13, will provide Rottneros with the ideal platform to showcase its innovative, environmentally responsible packaging solutions. Building on over 130 years of excellence in pulp production within the Rottneros Group, the company has been at the forefront of advancing responsible alternatives to traditional packaging. The NATURE™ range represents Rottneros' dedication to reducing plastic usage and optimising food packaging performance, all while minimising environmental impact.
The NATURE™ trays are crafted using FSC-certified raw materials from North European sources and produced with 100% renewable energy. Made from 86-98% renewable materials, these trays incorporate barrier properties designed to extend the shelf life of food, while reducing plastic content to below 10%. They are fully recyclable in paper streams, in line with CEPI and 4EverGreen protocols, and offer the added benefit of having biobased inner liners that can be separated and composted.

The trays are not only designed to support sustainability efforts but also provide superior functionality. The lightweight, sturdy trays, made from virgin fibres, meet strict hygiene standards and are compatible with Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and Vacuum Skin Packaging (VSP). Customisable lining options, including microwavable and oven-proof solutions, are available to meet specific customer needs. With optimised barrier linings, the trays extend food shelf life for up to 50+ days, reducing food waste.
Rottneros’ NATURE™ trays are designed for easy integration into existing production lines, with both standard and tailor-made sizes available. The trays are compatible with plastic formats, making the transition to renewable materials both cost-effective and efficient.
