For the first time, Pro Carton – the European Association of Carton and Cartonboard manufacturers – will be participating in The Museum of Brands’ 2023 Talks Programme, where Marketing and Communications Director, Winfried Muehling will deliver a live, interactive session on ‘Choosing cartons for a sustainable future’. Taking place on 28 March 2023 at 18:30, the session will cover the latest trends and insights relating to the entire packaging industry as it continues to promote a circular economy.
Sharing insights into the latest Pro Carton consumer research, Winfried will demonstrate that cartonboard is the preferred choice of packaging in a changing world where sustainability is at the fore of consumers’ minds. The talk will also explore the benefits of cartonboard, with reference to the association’s authoritative, research that proves that the European carton and cartonboard industry has succeeded in reducing its carbon footprint by 24% since 2018. The findings demonstrate that carton packaging not only meets the demands of a bio-based and circular economy but has a key role to play in the transition to a low carbon economy. The talk will also review the critical role of sustainable forest management, as well as delving into the annual Pro Carton Awards programme.
Pro Carton is proud to exhibit the winners of the European Carton Excellence Award (ECEA) year on year at the Museum of Brands. The 2022 collection is now on display, showcasing the versatility of cartonboard and how it can be used to create sustainable and attractive packaging designs.
