
PPG has appointed Denise Lu (Jing Lyu) as PPG vice president, Global Packaging Coatings, effective January 1. Lu will oversee PPG’s packaging coatings business, driving strategic growth, innovation and customer solutions across global markets.
Lu is a seasoned global leader with extensive experience managing cross-regional teams and delivering measurable results. Lu is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, strategic vision and focus on empowering teams to achieve organizational goals. Her commitment to fostering innovation and building strong customer relationships aligns with PPG’s mission to deliver high-performance solutions that meet evolving market demands.
In her 17 years working with PPG, Lu has driven high-value growth initiatives, led acquisition integrations, overseen strategic planning and business development activities and has had responsibility for segment strategy and M&A. Since 2022, she served as PPG general manager, Industrial Coatings, Asia Pacific. Previously, she was a member of the leadership team for PPG’s automotive refinish business, where she served as global director, marketing, beginning in 2016. Prior to her time in the refinish business, Lu was director of corporate strategy and development for PPG Asia Pacific, and strategic growth director, performance coatings, Asia Pacific.
Lu holds a master’s degree in business administration in management from the University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in international business and chemical engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology. Lu will be based at PPG’s global headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
