The ever-evolving landscape of sustainable packaging requires solutions that put good intentions into practice. As a key player within Bell Holding, an important player amongst international packaging groups, Perfektüp drives forward eco-friendly packaging solutions, focusing on aluminium tubes, laminate tubes, and aerosol cans. Perfektüp is based in Turkey but also has production facilities in Bulgaria and Italy.
Commitment to the Circular Economy
Perfektüp aligns with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, embracing the principles of the circular economy. Perfektüp demonstrates its commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible business practices by adhering to these principles, positioning itself as a leader in eco-friendly packaging solutions.
The New Kırklareli Production Base
Perfektüp’s new production facility in Kırklareli, strategically located between İstanbul and Europe, spans a plot area of 75,000 m² with a closed space of 100,000 m². This facility is built on the zero waste principle and aims to achieve LEED green building certification. Once fully operational in September 2024, the facility will boost aerosol can production from 160 million to over 200 million annually.
The Kırklareli base incorporates numerous green features:
- Waste gases treated to minimize environmental impact;
- Aluminium scraps compressed and sent for recycling;
- Rainwater collection for irrigation and firefighting;
- Solar panels installed on the roof;
- Water used in production is treated and reused within the factory.
Perfektüp has established the Kırklareli Perfektüp Ambalaj Memorial Forest, planting over 10,000 trees to create a lasting legacy of environmental sustainability and a testament to its connection with the local community.
Championing Recycling and Circular Economy
Perfektüp is committed to promoting the culture of recycling, emphasizing the importance of packaging made from recycled materials, whether post-industrial recycled (PIR) or post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. This commitment is exemplified through its support of To-Ka, a Bell Holding initiative dedicated to recycling.
To-Ka: Simplifying Waste Collection
To-Ka is an innovative platform that facilitates waste collection from the source via a mobile app. Users can join for free, and To-Ka collects waste from homes or workplaces, reintegrating it into the economy. By making recycling more accessible, To-Ka addresses the global challenge of waste management, promoting sustainable living and the circular economy. To-Ka highlights its dedication to environmental sustainability, inviting individuals and companies to join in this crucial effort.
Combining economic development with green policies is possible. A greener future depends on the commitment of each of us.
