The Paris Packaging Week Innovation Awards invite packaging businesses and brands from across aerosol, beauty and cosmetics, premium drinks, and premium and luxury packaging to put their best work before an international jury of industry leaders. Attracting more than 400 entries each year, the awards have built a reputation over 20 years as a major international benchmark for packaging innovation and design excellence.
For 2027, the programme is extending into new areas of luxury, with three categories joining the Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Innovation Awards: Stationery & Writing, Luxury Travel & Hospitality, and Home Fragrance & Luxury Living. Their introduction reflects the growing importance of packaging in creating distinctive experiences far beyond traditional luxury categories.
Stationery & Writing will recognise packaging spanning fine writing instruments, notebooks and limited editions; Luxury Travel & Hospitality will encompass hotels, airlines, cruises, amenities and premium guest experiences; while Home Fragrance & Luxury Living will celebrate packaging for candles, diffusers, room sprays, home perfumes and decorative accessories.
The calibre and breadth of the competition was reflected in the 2026 winners, which included innovations from Chanel, Prada, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Grey Goose, The Glenrothes, Johnnie Walker, Havana Club, Hendrick’s and Chaumet.
The awards span four specialist programmes: the ADF Innovation Awards, PCD Innovation Awards, PLD Innovation Awards and Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Innovation Awards.
Christelle Anya, Content & Community Director at Paris Packaging Week, said: “The best packaging innovations do more than look different. They solve problems, challenge assumptions and create experiences that change what brands and consumers expect from packaging. That is what we want to discover through the 2027 Innovation Awards.
“Every year, we see extraordinary ideas emerging across beauty, drinks, aerosols and luxury, with the most exciting thinking increasingly crossing traditional boundaries. Whether it is a breakthrough in materials, a smarter way to deliver a product, a more responsible solution or an unforgettable piece of design, we want to discover the ideas that will set new expectations for packaging. If you have created one of them, we want to see it in Paris.”
The 2027 awards will introduce refreshed judging panels, including new chairs and jury appointments.
The Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Innovation Awards will continue to be co-chaired by Thibaut Jambou of Kering Beauté and Olivier Gaugey of Bvlgari, with Margot Stuart, Co-founder of OriginalLuxury, and Damien Poelhekke, CEO of La Redoute Europe & Global, joining the jury for the first time.
Existing PLD jury members Julien Romdane of Pernod Ricard and Anne Monego, Founder & Creative Matchmaker at Lavoisine, will become the new co-chairs of the PLD Innovation Awards, bringing their experience across premium drinks and the creative industries to the judging panel.
For the PCD Innovation Awards, Hervé Bouix returns as co-chair alongside Pascale Marciniak-Davoult of Chanel, who steps up from the existing jury for 2027. The ADF Innovation Awards will once again be chaired by Alain D’Haese of the European Aerosol Federation (FEA).
Finalists will be announced in December 2026, with the winners revealed on 2 February 2027 at the Paris Packaging Week opening night, which will bring together 400 guests from across the international packaging community on the eve of the show.
The winning innovations will then take centre stage on 3 & 4 February 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, where more than 17,000 brand representatives, designers and start-ups will join 900 packaging manufacturers and suppliers for Paris Packaging Week.
Entries for the Paris Packaging Week Innovation Awards 2027 are open from 1 September to 31 October 2026.
