Following the Hungarian company Reményi Verpackungen, Silny & Salamon of Poland became the newest member of the European PackSynergy network for mid-market, owner-managed packaging retailers on 1 January 2025. With this expansion, PackSynergy now has an influential presence in the key Polish market, further strengthening its position in Eastern Europe.
“We’re delighted to welcome this Polish family firm to our group”, said PackSynergy CEO Thomas A. Baur. “Silny & Salamon is an innovative, dynamic company that will enhance our group’s already substantial expertise and specifically support the network with additional product segments.”
Silny & Salamon was founded back in 1989 and serves the Polish market reliably, specializing in security seals, bag closures and packaging machinery. Business with Sealed Air Autobag solutions, which were first introduced to Poland by Silny & Salamon, is a major area of activity. Apart from this, the company has a well-developed network of European partners, which will further increase the power and reach of the PackSynergy Group.
Ewa Knapińska, COO of Silny & Salamon, considers it an honour to have become a member of PackSynergy’s European packaging network. “Silny & Salamon is now not only a reliable and trustworthy partner for the Polish market, but throughout Europe. We regard the decision to join as a step that will help us grow faster and be a better ally for our customers. As part of the PackSynergy network, we can provide them with even more in the future when it comes to packaging and securing. We want to share experience and our excellent product portfolio, collect information about the packaging market and trends and engage in active networking. In return, we believe our membership will assist us with new knowledge, marketing support, access to new suppliers as well as new cross-selling opportunities”, explained Knapińska when asked to sum up her expectations.
“PackSynergy’s competitive advantages are not restricted to an international supplier portfolio and a European sales platform but also include effective interaction and a vital community within the network”, Baur emphasized. “These are economically challenging times and the assets a network brings are unmistakably attractive. Thanks to our professionally managed structures, each individual company profits from a knowledge lead as well group benefits”, he continued.
According to Baur, PackSynergy is pursuing a sustainable growth strategy with the aim of being represented in every country in Europe. “We’re keen to avoid any competitive situations arising and so we make sure that new members have the right mindset”, he stressed. He sees the successful network’s enduring popularity as a clear sign of the association’s standing as a network brand that provides mid-market packaging wholesalers all over Europe with a fundamental instrument for growth. Thomas A. Baur is in no doubt: “We connect local strength with international reach”.
