The PackSynergy network is growing. The largest European network for medium-sized, owner-managed packaging retailers is now also expanding into Ukraine. The new partner Modern Pack is part of the Ukrainian group of companies UGPS (Ukrainian Green Packaging Solutions) and joined the PackSynergy Group in April 2025. The family-run company offers innovative and environmentally friendly packaging solutions for various industries and operates its own production facilities.
“With the addition of Modern Pack, we are tapping into a market segment from which we expect exciting developments. This opens up access to new procurement sources for our partners and provides a distribution network for our group suppliers,” says PackSynergy CEO Thomas A. Baur. “Modern Pack will benefit from the group's expertise and gain access to Western markets. We look forward to working with the Modern Pack team.”
About Modern Pack and UGPS
Modern Pack, a family-run company that is part of the Ukrainian corporate group UGPS (Ukrainian Green Packaging Solutions), offers innovative and environmentally friendly packaging solutions for various industries. With its own production facilities and a customer-focused approach, Modern Pack stands out for its high flexibility and quality. The professional team specializes in the development, production, and sale of optimal, progressive, and safe packaging materials for both food and non-food sectors.
A key strength lies in combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of modern trends and an individualized approach to each customer. Clients benefit from the opportunity to place customized orders, tailored to their own ideas, constructions, and design concepts – all of which the Modern Pack team is happy to bring to life.
Founded in 2018, UGPS brings together several packaging specialists under one roof, focusing on modern technologies and sustainable production processes. Thanks to international certifications and a broad product portfolio, UGPS is one of the leading packaging experts in the region.
"By joining PackSynergy, we gain the opportunity to stay at the forefront of European packaging trends and share these insights directly with our customers. We look forward to close collaboration within the network to continuously expand our portfolio and drive innovation in the packaging sector", says Andrii Kovbuz, Chairman at UGPS.
Strategy and competitive advantages
Among the competitive advantages of PackSynergy are not only an international supplier portfolio and a Europe-wide sales platform but also the effective exchange of experience among international members and the vibrant community within the network, emphasizes CEO Baur.
"Especially in today’s economically challenging times, networks are showing their real strengths. In an era where exchange, strategic cooperation, and joint value creation are gaining increasing importance, our model hits the mark. Thanks to professionally managed structures, individual companies benefit from a knowledge edge and group advantages.”
PackSynergy pursues a sustainable growth strategy – with the goal of having a presence in every European country. Baur: “In doing so, we ensure that new members bring the right mindset and that the spirit of cooperation is embedded in their corporate strategy. This creates the foundation for meaningful collaboration.” The continued strong interest in the successful network clearly shows that the alliance, as a network brand for medium-sized packaging wholesalers across Europe, represents an important competitive advantage – especially in times of increasing market consolidation.
