The stackability of the top frame contributes to easy handling.
ORBIS Europe, a manufacturer of durable and sustainable plastic transport packaging, has expanded its product portfolio for the food and beverage industry. A new generation of reusable pallet collars is now available to customers for the transport of aluminum cans, glass bottles, and PET bottles. Compared to the previous model, the upgraded solution features higher temperature resistance, enabling transport in particularly hot regions such as Southern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Customers can choose between recycled propylene and virgin material for the packaging.
“With the new generation of the stacking frame, we are offering a new solution that meets the requirements even in highly demanding environments,” says Jürgen J. Krahé, Senior Director of ORBIS Europe. “This helps our customers ensure a reliable flow of goods in the food and beverage industry.”
Stable and Safe Transport of Goods
The top frame is characterized by its robust construction. It is designed for use with pallets and dunnage and stabilizes load units containing cans and bottles. Its increased temperature resistance enables reliable transport in particularly hot regions. In addition, the top frame is resistant to chemicals, insects, and water. A metal casing and rounded edges absorb impacts and reduce damage to the reusable solution. Nubs at the corners stabilize the load without damaging products. Customers with particularly high hygiene requirements, such as those in the food and beverage industry, will find that the solution meets these strict standards. The smooth plastic surfaces also make cleaning easy. The pallet frame is available in sizes 1420 × 1120 mm and 1300 × 1120 mm. It can be easily used with existing pallets and integrated into existing automated processes. Its stackability also contributes to easy handling.
Generating Ecological and Economic Added Value
Sustainability, which is central to ORBIS, has also been incorporated into the product’s further development. Like all of the company’s products, the new pallet frame is 100 percent recyclable. By choosing recycled polypropylene, users can also comply with regulatory requirements such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Furthermore, end-of-life products can be returned to the raw material cycle. At the end of the product’s lifecycle, ORBIS buys back the solution and recycles it into the production of new reusable packaging. This buyback option provides users with additional financial benefits. Krahé adds: “Our products help our customers operate in a way that is both resource-efficient and economically sustainable.”
