1. Our paper:
- The paper that we produce in our integrate mill comes from 100% virgin long fiber. This special fibre gives great resistance, cleanness and consistency. In addition, it allows for a careful production with brightness thanks to the latest technology in MG paper production machines ( Machine-Glazed)
- 100% Renewable
- 100% Recyclable
- Biodegradable
- Food Contact Certified
- FSC or PEFC
- Ok compost HOME
2. Our purpose: Better Planet Packaging’s purpose is to create better packaging for a better world for future generations.
3. MG Sealable BioWrap® is designed for high strength packaging. Main advantages:
- Protection and resistance: paper produced and designed for optimum performance in general packaging. Its high resistance to traction and tearing even in low substances will provide excellent protection.
- Runnability & Formation: with our paper an excellent performance the production process will be guaranteed. Wrapping paper with our sealable paper, runnability of the flow pack lines is perfect.
- Printability: The brightness of our paper, glazed to one side, as well as the possibility of ribbed production, gives the paper the best characteristics for optimum ink absorption, guaranteeing the best print quality.
4. New Packaging for cushions filling
- We have developed a new paper application with the main producer of fibre cushion filling for in Spain & Portugal.
- Customer wanted to replace the plastic wrapping of their filling by a plastic free solution.
- We collaborated with them to test and validate our MG Sealable BioWrap paper in 60gr. Our 60gr BioWrap paper, which has the ability to heat seal and is 100% recyclable and compostable.
- This new development achieves the complete elimination of plastic and also achieving a reduction in the carbon footprint, avoiding the new tax imposed on single-use plastic packaging.
- In addition, a new technology has been introduced in this project that manages to rewind our paper in tube format, making it possible for our client to use the same production lines that they used with the previous plastic material.
- The duration of the project was 8 months, testing the new solution in their wrapping lines
- The main challenge of the project was:
- To run with the same wrapping line that they were using with the plastic: same packaging process (heat sealing), format (tube rolls), performance and runnability.
- To deliver a ready to use product, printed and converted.
