Personalised medicine has commercial promise but delivering it on the packaging line is a significant challenge. At CPHI Milan 2026, MM Pharma & Healthcare Packaging will bring that challenge to the forefront.
Global Innovation Director Tiffany Overstreet is joining an official conference panel on what it takes to make patient-specific packaging work at scale. The session, Delivering the Next Generation of Biotherapies: Execution Realities and Smart Packaging Trade-offs, takes place at 11:35am on 6 October.
The panel will explore how packaging operations must adapt to advanced biotherapies, RNA-based treatments and personalised medicines, where small batches, high-value products and temperature sensitivity challenge traditional high-volume lines. Tiffany and fellow panellists will discuss the trade-offs between manufacturing flexibility and speed, the practicalities of low-volume production, and how packaging formats can maintain stability without adding complexity to commercial scale-up.
Through its work in pharmaceutical cartons, leaflets and patient-centric packaging solutions, MM Pharma & Healthcare Packaging has first-hand experience of the challenges involved in managing increasing product complexity while maintaining efficiency and compliance. Beyond the panel, the MM Pharma & Healthcare Packaging team will be at Hall 11, Stand 11C42 throughout the event, running 6-8 October at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre in Milan, Italy.
Visitors will discover the company’s ClearCode® solutions for greater accuracy on packaging lines, its multi-site validation for security of supply, and its work in sustainability-focused materials. Attendees are invited to connected with the team on-stand.
“The interesting question isn't whether next-generation biotherapies have potential, it's how we adapt packaging to support their delivery at commercial scale," said Tiffany Overstreet, Global Innovation Director at MM Pharma & Healthcare Packaging.
“In my experience that gap comes down to a few specific pressure points, like automation that wasn't designed for high variability, maintaining product stability, and managing quality in small-batch production. Getting that right is what delivers a packaging model that works in the real world. That's the conversation I want to have on the panel; an honest one about the trade-offs between flexibility, speed and standardisation.
“It's also why events like CPHI Milan matter so much. It brings the whole industry into one room at a point when packaging is being asked to do more than ever, and it's the right place to have these practical conversations with the customers and partners wrestling with the same questions. I'm looking forward to sharing what we've learned, and to hearing where others are finding answers."
