Lindum, a leading expert in pallet stability and wrapping, will be showcasing its groundbreaking Mobile Pallet Stability Test Lab with live demonstrations at stand 1235 during IntraLogisteX 2025, taking place on 25th and 26th March at the NEC, Birmingham.
The Mobile Pallet Stability Test Lab provides an offsite solution to tackle Movement in Transport (MIT) issues, which continue to cause significant product and financial losses for businesses. This cutting-edge mobile unit complements Lindum’s £250,000 Innovation Centre, which opened at its premises in Grimsby in May 2023.
Industry statistics highlight the ongoing challenge of pallet movement during transit, with 11% of palletised journeys affected - leading to over 82.5 million damaged pallets annually.
As the first mobile unit of its kind in the UK, the lab is transported directly to customers’ sites, where its onboard accelerator bench and state-of-the-art technology simulate real-world transit conditions. A high-speed camera measures and records pallet deflection and movement in real time in accordance with EUMOS standards, allowing businesses to make critical adjustments to improve load stability and reduce product damage.
Since its launch, Lindum’s Mobile Test Lab has conducted more than 1,500 tests across a range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, and industrial goods. In 2024, a leading global brewery achieved an 80% reduction in MIT issues by implementing insights gained from the lab’s analysis.
