Leading packaging and pallet stability expert, Lindum has been awarded a Gold EcoVadis accreditation, placing it among the top-rated organisations worldwide for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
This prestigious, globally recognised award highlights Lindum's ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into its operations. The company has enhanced its key practices, which include improving environmental management systems, fostering stronger relationships with suppliers to ensure responsible sourcing, and implementing effective health, safety, and employee welfare initiatives.
In addition, the company has updated its corporate governance policies to promote greater transparency and adherence to ethical standards.
Daniel Goldsworthy (PCQI), Quality Manager at Lindum says: “This accreditation is not just recognition of our efforts, it also demonstrates our commitment to building a more sustainable future.
“Following the introduction of the plastic packaging tax, combined with net zero initiatives, more and more companies are prioritising sustainability throughout their operations.
“Clients rely on us to provide support and advise ways in which they can make their packing processes more sustainable. On average, we save clients up to 50% in packaging waste and CO2 emissions.”
In 2023, Lindum became the first packaging company to achieve an ISO17025 certification for its innovative mobile pallet stability testing lab, which launched in May 2022.
Daniel adds: “The EcoVadis accreditation serves as part of our continuous drive to support a greener future. We are continuing to implement new initiatives across the company to help more companies achieve their sustainability goals, through improvements to pallet stability, innovative technologies, and collaboration with like-minded suppliers to ensure a responsible environment.”
EcoVadis is a globally recognised assessment platform that rates businesses' sustainability, based on four key categories, including environmental impact, labour, and human rights standards, ethics, and procurement practices.
Lindum is one of the UK’s leading experts on pallet stability and is instrumental in its efforts to reduce movement in transport (MIT) issues, which remains a key challenge in logistics. The company has also been awarded, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications and BRCGS in storage and distribution.
