ITP (Industria Termoplastica Pavese), a leader in the plastics sector, has presented its third Sustainability Report, highlighting the results achieved and future goals in the areas of environmental, social, and governance responsibility. 2023 was a year of significant milestones, including the company's 50th anniversary and the inauguration of a new cutting-edge production plant.
Throughout the year, ITP increased its commitment to improving environmental and social sustainability, with initiatives involving both internal collaborators and the local community. ITP supported the election of Pavia as the Capital of Business Culture by Confindustria - the leading association representing manufacturing and service enterprises in Italy, emphasizing the importance of local ties and commitment to the local economy.
ITP continued to invest in innovation, introducing the Triflex brand, which represents advanced and highly sustainable plastic materials. These films are produced at the new site, which not only expands production capacity but also reduces environmental impacts thanks to advanced technologies that minimize plastic use in production processes. This development is part of the company's commitment to making packaging more recyclable, reducing plastic use, and simplifying product structures to promote "Design for Recycling."
ITP's commitment to inclusivity was reflected in the creation of an internal women’s Academy, aimed at promoting the entry of women into traditionally male-dominated production roles. This project is an integral part of ITP's mission to create a more stimulating and inclusive work environment.
As a Benefit Corporation, ITP reaffirms its commitment to responsible growth, combining technological innovation with inclusivity and environmental sustainability. CEO Massimo Centonze emphasized that "our commitment to innovation and tangible green projects not only strengthens our company but also contributes to the well-being of the community and the planet."
