IFE Manufacturing Solutions launches autumn content programme

IFE Manufacturing Solutions, the UK’s dedicated showcase of end-to-end manufacturing and product development for the food & drink sector, has announced a comprehensive autumn content programme on digital platform IFE & IMS Connects.

IFE & IMS Connects launched in summer 2021 as a free online resource for the food & drink community, hosting webinars, podcasts, reports and articles and giving buyers access to a searchable database of industry suppliers.

Throughout September, The Future of Food content programme will be focusing on the wide-ranging topic of sustainability, kicking off with a session from Medoola’s Neil Shackleton and David Newman of the Bio-Based and Biodegradable Industries Association, who will be revealing how disrupting the status quo can help businesses achieve a sustainable future.

In the second session, Neil Shackleton will be joined by BioPak’s Sam Walker and Andy Sweetman of the Bio-Based and Biodegradable Industries Association as they bust some common myths and misconceptions around sustainability and take a look at some trail-blazing recycling and composting packaging solutions.

The third session in the series sees David Kipling of Onsite Energy Group, Richard Willis of Huber Technology and Medoola’s Neil Shackleton discuss the topic of managing utilities in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

In the final September session, entitled ‘Food Industry 4.0’, Smart Foods Observatory will showcase top European companies and collaborations that are at the forefront of supply chain transformation and examine how they are using technology to achieve growth, minimise costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

Nicola Woods, Event Manager for IFE Manufacturing Solutions, commented: “It’s more important than ever to understand the trends and challenges impacting on the sector in 2021 and beyond, and our autumn content programme is providing valuable, actionable insights for the end-to-end manufacturing and product development community.”

The autumn content programme will continue into October 2021, with sessions on the future of food tech, supply chain solutions and top tips for start-ups entering the food production and processing space from the BCMPA.

IFE Manufacturing Solutions will take place alongside International Food & Drink Event (IFE) and Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HRC) on 21-23 March 2022, bringing together over 40,000 foodservice and hospitality professionals at ExCeL London for three days of networking, learning and discovering exciting new industry suppliers.
