Leading aluminium tray producer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has recently launched an exciting new addition to its aluminium container portfolio - the B Series. This expanded range, which is in addition to the existing four D Series and four S Series profiles, features six new designs that provide even greater versatility and sustainability for businesses looking to replace plastic equivalents.
The latest addition builds on i2r’s commitment to constant innovation and investment in tooling to meet evolving market demands. The aluminium smoothwall containers deliver superior functionality while reducing reliance on single-use plastics. Their robust design, combined with 100% recyclable aluminium, ensures a sustainable solution that offers exceptional durability and versatility.
The complete portfolio now consists of three distinct series, each designed to meet specific packaging requirements. The new B Series is primarily intended for premium and seasonal products such as pork belly, glazed gammon and stuffed meat joints. With capacities ranging from 1,112ml to 1,510ml, the containers are ideal for "ready to cook" dishes that include added-value elements such as herbs and butter, elevating both presentation and appeal. The D Series features lightweight yet durable containers suitable for a range of applications. Sizes vary from 859ml to 1,737ml, providing versatile solutions that blend strength with sustainability. Meanwhile, the S Series offers deeper containers, with capacities of up to 1,900ml, ideal for larger items including rolled or stuffed meat joints. These containers are robust, reliable and designed to meet the demands of food preparation and transportation.
The entire aluminium range, made up of 14 containers, is manufactured from lightweight, 100% recyclable material and features a smoothwall rectangular design with a reverse curl G-rim for enhanced safety and ease of handling. The containers are suitable for both seasonal and year-round applications, making them ideal for packaging premium products such as pork belly, glazed gammon, seasoned lamb and more. By replacing plastic packaging with this innovative range, businesses can not only reduce their environmental impact but also increase the value and presentation of their offerings.
