The HP PageWide Advantage 2200 is the next-generation platform of inkjet web presses that builds on 15 years of field-proven innovations from the T200, T300, and T400 series platforms. Incorporating a revolutionary single arch this highly productive, versatile press supports paper thickness from 40 gsm up to 300 gsm, with fewer components, delivering break-through speeds of 800 feet / 244 meters per minute in monochrome and 500 feet / 152 meters per minute with complete High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA) color quality at high coverage. This new platform expands application versatility while reducing labor costs by minimizing overall maintenance and servicing time, increasing reliability, and maximizing uptime. Overall, this production scale inkjet web press offers customers a low total cost of ownership.
David Bennett, President, Bennett Graphics, said, “Our customers have extremely tight turn-around time requirements for time-sensitive marketing communications, but with the speed and quality of the HP PageWide Advantage 2200, we’re able to scale our capabilities to meet their growing needs. We have been an HP Indigo user for many years, and the Advantage 2200 opens up new opportunities to compete for projects we couldn’t have handled before.”
Equipped with new HP High Efficiency Drying (HED), the press reduces total energy consumption per page by up to 60%, recirculating up to 80% of the air heated during drying processes[1]. The press incorporates passive and active web cooling modules that enable the highest levels of print quality for high coverage print jobs at maximum speeds, giving customers the ability to run a versatile mix of print runs, ranging from light coat to heavy coverage gloss work.
Offering industry leading productivity with quality and media versatility for all industries including publishing, direct mail, and commercial print, the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 offers modular dryers that provide customers with the flexibility to seamlessly size their press according to application and production needs. The press utilizes HP Optimizer technology to produce excellent print quality across a wide range of media. The Digital Front End allows customers to reduce total ink usage and reduce media waste by optimizing color, ink laydown, startup and running modes.
“The HP PageWide Advantage 2200 changed our business by accelerating print speeds and its ability to handle surges more efficiently. The Advantage 2200 quality is incredible, and the flexibility of the press and color controls allow us to maximize the quality and appearance of our magazines while being cost effective in full coverage ink laydown,” said Robb Hotchkiss, Director of Operations, The N2 Company.
The innovative combination of energy savings, throughput and running efficiency results in HP PageWide delivering impact for its customers. To see the HP PageWide 2200 in action at HP’s Graphics Experience Center in Atlanta or Barcelona, please connect with HP here.

[1] Based on internal HP data and testing. Initial testing was performed on March 4, 2020. Test procedure: Exhaust flow rates were measured under various exhaust damper conditions (open, closed, 10% open). These exhaust flow rates were then compared to the overall fan air circulation flow rates to determine the percent of air that is exhausted.
