KM Packaging have launched K-Peel VPMe, a Recycle Ready polyolefin film that seals to PET trays and pots – offering the last piece of the recycling puzzle for the Australian market.
K-Peel VPMe is a multi-seal polyolefin film, which is recyclable under APCO guidance, is designed to replace PET films being used alongside rigid PET trays.
While the PET trays are recyclable, PET film is not according to APCO’s rules. Replacing a PET film with K-Peel VPMe means the entire package is now completely recyclable via local collection schemes.
The film’s multi-seal properties mean it also seals to PET, PP and PE trays, offering efficiency and flexibility for producers who have a wide and varied product portfolio.
The 55µm gauge film also offers a high barrier gives products greater protection for gases and water transfer. These features make it an ideal film for microwave meals, snack trays, and fresh protein.

Polyolefin materials like K-Peel VPMe can have the ‘Check Locally’ label can be returned to local collection points for processing. Our polyolefin films are designed to be kerbside recyclable, when the collection infrastructure is put in place.
