An Industrial Model Serving Circularity
Aliplast, a Hera Group company and one of Europe's leading players in plastics regeneration and production, will participate in IPACK-IMA 2025 — the international trade fair for packaging and processing technologies across food and non-food sectors — from May 27 to 30. The event will be an opportunity to present a fully integrated production model that combines technological expertise, material quality, and a circular vision. This approach enables Aliplast to manage every phase of the plastics lifecycle, from waste collection to the creation of new products for the market. Among the company’s developed solutions, particular highlights include flexible films in rLDPE and sheets in rPET — high-performance recycled materials designed to meet the highest standards for safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance. Increasingly used in the packaging world — from cosmetics to logistics, from large-scale retail to food — these materials offer a tangible balance between sustainability and industrial performance.
A Strategic Stronghold for the Packaging Supply Chain
Aliplast’s participation in IPACK-IMA 2025 comes at a time of major regulatory and cultural change. New European directives — such as the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and the SUP (Single Use Plastics) Directive — are accelerating the shift toward recycled materials and packaging designed to be truly recyclable.
In this context, Aliplast positions itself as an industrial partner capable of delivering customized solutions: it collects and regenerates plastics, produces high-performance recycled materials, and co-designs packaging systems with brands and manufacturers. An industrial offer that integrates sustainability, traceability, and operational continuity.
Petrone: "Innovation, Quality, and a Systemic Vision: This Is Our Challenge"
"Being at IPACK-IMA is not just about showcasing products or technologies," says Michele Petrone, CEO of Aliplast."It is an opportunity to present a broad industrial vision based on collaboration, quality, and responsibility. Today we work with partners from large-scale retail, cosmetics, and industrial sectors to build truly circular solutions — not just on paper. And the results are starting to show, both in terms of market and customer perception."
From Project to Reality: Aliplast’s Achievements Over the Past Year
2024 and the beginning of 2025 marked a period of intense expansion for Aliplast, characterized by strategic investments, targeted acquisitions, and new collaborations along the supply chain. Among the most significant developments, the integration of the Carmignano di Brenta (PD) production site, specialized in PET recycling, has significantly boosted production capacity, adding around 15,000 tons of recycled PET per year. In the large-scale retail sector, a project with SACME has taken shape to create a "closed-loop" model, where LDPE waste generated by a retail chain is transformed into new waste collection bags branded under the same retailer’s name.
Meanwhile, the collaboration with Cosmetica Italia, started in 2023, continues — leading to the development of shared guidelines for recycled cosmetic packaging and the launch of an innovative recycled plastic bottle for cosmetic use. Finally, by the first half of 2026, a new facility entirely dedicated to the recycling and regeneration of rigid plastics for technical packaging will become operational in Modena.
This highly automated facility will further strengthen the company’s presence in high-value-added segments, both nationally and internationally.
