Faerch has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s progress on key sustainability topics, reinforcing its leadership in delivering circular, low-carbon food packaging solutions to the market.
During 2025, Faerch continued to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, introduced new packaging innovations designed for greater recyclability, tripled renewable energy and scaled the consumption of their industry leading circular CIRPET+™ material from recycled pots, tubs and trays.

Sustainability highlights 2025:
- Reduced total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 20.0% across the full value chain compared to 2022, including a 40.4% reduction in its own operations, keeping Faerch on track to reach its near-term and net-zero science-based targets.
- More than tripled its renewable energy with three additional Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Renewable energy now accounts for 23% of Faerch’s total energy consumption with 41% already secured by 2027.
- Delivered 22,000 tonnes CIRPET+™ material from its Cirrec recycling facility, with a target to reach 50,000 tonnes CIRPET+™ by 2030. CIRPET+™ achieved Sphera certification of authenticity, demonstrating a low carbon footprint of 0.452 kg CO2e .
- Achieved recyclability by design across 94.3% of its packaging solutions, by weight. Innovations include the improved built-in absorber structure in trays and the PET Hot Cup Lid with up to 85% post-consumer recycled content.
