The BCMPA is launching a new category of membership from the 1st January 2025, as it invites organisations who provide goods, services and advice to the manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics sectors to network and collaborate with the UK’s outsourcing industry.
The BCMPA Associate Membership programme offers businesses an opportunity to enhance their visibility within the association’s extensive network of over 200 contract packers, manufacturers, ecommerce and fulfilment houses. Those joining will be able to attend BCMPA events, conduct webinars, connect with industry professionals, share insights, and explore potential business collaborations.
Emma Verkaik, CEO of the BCMPA said; “In our 2023 membership survey over 76 percent of members responded that they would like to see the introduction of an Associate Member scheme, and benefit from receiving advice and market intelligence.
“The launch of our new Associate Membership programme will help forge meaningful connections within the industry. By providing a platform where companies can exchange best practices and stay informed, we will ultimately contribute to the continuing progress and development of the contract manufacturing and packing sectors.”
Associate members will receive a dedicated profile listing on the BCMPA website, showcasing their services and expertise in areas such as software solutions, packaging, machinery, legal, regulatory issues and sustainability. New associate members can also promote their activities through the BCMPA’s newsletters and social media channels, significantly extending their reach within a relevant and engaged audience. In addition, they will have the opportunity to host an annual webinar, providing BCMPA members with a range of insights on industry-relevant topics.
The BCMPA already plays a key role in supporting the UK’s contract manufacturing and packing industry, which spans various sectors including food and drink, nutraceuticals, chemicals, personal care, pharmaceuticals, household products, ecommerce fulfilment and automotive. The BCMPA anticipates that its Associate Membership programme will further support brands, retailers and entrepreneurs in finding the right local partners to meet their outsourcing needs and encourage greater collaboration within the industry.
Emma Verkaik concluded; “The value of introducing an extended network was a tangible benefit of this year’s BCMPA Conference in July. Effective collaborations across the sector not only benefit individual businesses, but as an industry, give us the opportunity to continue highlighting the invaluable role outsourcing plays to retailers, brands and entrepreneurs across the UK and beyond.”
