Cartonpack Group, a leading provider of packaging solutions for the fresh produce and food sectors, announces the acquisition of the business unit of Agrypack S.r.l., a Verona-based distributor of packaging solutions for the agri-food sector, established in 1992.
The transaction represents a further step in Cartonpack’s growth strategy, aimed at strengthening its commercial and operational footprint in Northern Italy and expanding its integrated packaging offering for customers in the fresh produce and food markets.
Agrypack has been a long-standing commercial partner of Cartonpack, with a well-established relationship built over the years on mutual trust, market expertise and complementary capabilities. The integration of the business unit into the Group therefore represents the natural evolution of a consolidated partnership, enabling enhanced operational synergies and a stronger territorial presence.
As part of the transaction, continuity in the Company’s leadership will be ensured, with Simone Turrini remaining at the helm of Agrypack, providing managerial stability and continuity in customer and partner relationships.
The transaction also includes a development plan for Agrypack’s historical site, with the expansion of operations across two logistics and production areas, further strengthening operational capacity and service levels.
Simone Turrini, CEO of Agrypack, commented: “This transaction formalises a long-standing collaboration with Cartonpack, built over many years on a shared strategic vision. Joining the Group will allow us to build on the work carried out to date, while leveraging a broader industrial platform to support future growth and continue delivering high-quality service to our customers.”
Giuseppe Leone, CEO of Cartonpack Group, added: “The acquisition of Agrypack’s business unit strengthens our presence in Northern Italy and consolidates a long-standing partnership that has generated value over time. This transaction enables us to integrate strong commercial capabilities and local market knowledge into our industrial platform, further enhancing customer proximity and service levels.”
With this transaction, Cartonpack continues to strengthen its territorial coverage and vertical integration, in line with the Group’s broader development strategy.
Cartonpack was advised by Alpeggiani Avvocati Associati as legal counsel, Spada & Partners as accounting and tax advisers, and ERM as environmental, health and safety adviser.
