Packaging Première and PCD Milan, scheduled from 21 to 23 May 2024 in Milan at Allianz MiCo - Gate 4, has always been the perfect stage for products that are characterised by a high level of innovation and sustainability. With the Avant Garde project, Packaging Première and PCD Milan intend to actively involve design and branding agencies, material manufacturers, deluxe packaging suppliers and start-ups who will be able to participate in the selection of the most innovative projects of 2024.
Participants should develop materials or products that are considered worthy in terms of innovation, involving a benefit in terms of use for the society or the environment and belonging to one or more of the following categories: innovative materials, sustainability in the production chain and in the execution, innovative design for aesthetics, design and functionality for the brand and the consumer.
The projects will be evaluated by a highly qualified jury composed of experts in the industry: for the innovative materials category the jury is composed of Anna Pellizzari (Head of Advisory of Materially) and Giusy Bettoni (CEO and Founder of C.L.A.S. - Creativity Lifestyle And Sustainable Synergy), for the sustainability category by Federica Brumen (Sustainability, eco-design and corporate relations expert, Research and Development area of Comieco), Iren Ivoi (Designer/Consultant of CONAI) and Massimo Ramunni (Secretary of Aticelca), while for the design category by Fabio Pastore (Graphic Design Manager of Arcturus Group), Tommaso Pecchioli (Art Director, Owner and Founder of Officina Grafica) and Vincenzo Maccarrone (Art Director, Owner and Founding Partner of Officina Grafica). Packaging Première and PCD Milan will unveil soon other jury members.
All the selected projects will be showcased at Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2024 in the Avant-Garde area. Each project will be provided with a QR Code linked to its description and presented in detail in the official catalogue and on the event website.
The winners of the three categories will be awarded during a dedicated conference, during which they will have the opportunity to illustrate their projects to visitors, which will also be exhibited during London Packaging Week (September 2024) and Paris Packaging Week (January 2025).
"Avant-Garde is a space dedicated to full-scale innovation, with a special focus on packaging for the luxury and beauty sectors. Edition after edition we notice a growing interest in this project, whose aim is to inspire change and create a positive impact, moving towards solutions that are technologically advanced but above all responsible," says Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première & PCD Milan.
Participants can apply for one or more innovative projects no later than Monday 19 February 2024.
Under the sign of responsible innovation and sustainability, Packaging Première and PCD Milan will present production excellence applied to different materials and uses, promoting knowledge of the latest technologies and offering the opportunity to network with the most important players on the market.
