Sustainable Packaging News Awards 2023 Now Open for Submissions!

The year has only just got underway, but preparations are already in place for the Sustainable Packaging News Awards 2023, which will highlight the most ground-breaking and innovative sustainable packaging solutions from the past year. It is completely free to enter and will be judged by a World-class panel of judges.

Winners will be announced at our virtual awards ceremony on the 17th November!

You have until the end of May to enter the awards. Please include an email address, up to 500 words of text plus an image to complete your entry.

We have the following awards categories:

  1. Sustainable Packaging Machinery - Innovative packaging machines which have facilitated the use of environmentally friendly materials.  Also incorporates machinery which has improved production line efficiencies, for example, in terms of waste or energy reduction.
  2. Resource Efficiency - Innovations in the packaging sector that help to utilise resources in a way which is better for our planet.  This can include a reduction in material usage, or reducing the overall carbon footprint. Also covers packaging designs which help prevent waste.
  3. Recyclable Packaging Innovation - Innovations in packaging design or materials which help the final product to be recycled.
  4. Circular Economy - Covers new uses for recycled materials, innovative reusable packaging systems or recycling technologies, also initiatives that promote recycling and reuse.
  5. Sustainable Sourcing - Recognises companies who have sourced more sustainable materials, or improved their materials to make them more sustainable. Includes development and use of bio-based materials.
  6. Retailer of the Year - Goes to a retailer or brand which has improved its sustainability practices or made a big impact on its supply chain to create packaging sustainably.

Our judges will also decide on an overall winner - the innovation which our judges feel has contributed the most to help our planet!  Winners will receive a digital rosette and fantastic exposure to our Worldwide audience via multiple channels.
