Antalis Packaging continues to add to its range of packaging equipment and supplies, ensuring packaging operations have access to the latest and best technology.
Pregis AirSpeed Ascent produces up to 23 metres of cushioning per minute. Efficiency is further enhanced thanks to its simple user interface and smart logic that recognises and calibrates the optimal system settings as each roll of film is loaded, eliminating human error.
No wearable parts means no downtime and less servicing required, while the sleep-wake mode saves power during off-hours.
Pregis AirSpeed Ascent produces hybrid cushioning (HC) with a square pattern that offers a greater surface area than circular cushions to provide improved product protection. It also offers significant space savings – one pallet of HC is the equivalent to almost one and a half truckloads of conventional bubble film.
Two film options are available, both of which are 100% recyclable. Pregis Ascent HC film, made from polyethylene, is perfect for heavy or fragile products that require extra cushioning; its superior air retention means it can be used for products that have longer shipping cycles.
With 30% post-consumer recycled content, Pregis Ascent HC Renew is exempt from the Plastic Packaging Tax. Grey in colour, HC Renew contains no artificial colours or hazardous ingredients.
Central Product Manager – Cushioning and Void Fill at Antalis, Stuart Bates, comments: “The speed and air-pressure of AirSpeed Ascent combined with the square-profile cushioning makes this a highly effective piece of kit for busy packaging operations. In addition, HC Renew film is a real asset for businesses looking to minimise the impact of the Plastic Packaging Tax.”
