Alzamora Group, an international group specialising in cartonboard packaging solutions, closed the 2025 financial year with consolidated turnover exceeding €80 million, representing growth of 48.1% compared with 2023. This performance contrasts with the average 4.6% growth recorded by the European packaging sector and confirms the strength of the Group’s industrial and strategic model.
During the year, Alzamora Group consolidated its international structure, with manufacturing operations in Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom, and commercial activity in more than 20 markets. The Group comprises Alzamora Packaging (Olot, Spain), Novotipo Packaging (Lisbon, Portugal) and Offset Print & Packaging (London, United Kingdom), the latter joining the Group at the end of 2024 as part of its international growth and expansion strategy. This structure is complemented by Alzamora System Carton Box, the Group’s dedicated in-house automation centre, where integrated machinery and packaging solutions are developed to facilitate the rollout of new formats, optimise processes and enhance customers’ production efficiency.
Thanks to this integrated model, Alzamora Group delivers bespoke packaging solutions featuring innovative structural designs and a wide range of finishes, aimed at enhancing on-shelf differentiation, functionality and logistics efficiency, while embedding sustainability criteria from the design stage.
In a market undergoing significant transformation, the Group highlights the impact of new European regulatory frameworks. “The progress of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the progressive restriction of single-use plastics are accelerating demand for recyclable, mono-material and efficient solutions,” notes Josep M. Berga, Co-CEO of Alzamora Group, in a context where consumers are showing increasing sensitivity to environmental impact.
Sector diversification and sustained growth
Sector diversification remains one of the Group’s key growth drivers, with developments for food and beverages, perfumery and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, home care, technology, tobacco, dairy, poultry and frozen foods, among others, in collaboration with national and international brands.
This positioning is underpinned by well-established technical and creative know-how, continuous investment in technology and close collaboration between R&D and production, enabling the Group to undertake complex projects and support clients from concept development through to full industrialisation.
Alzamora Group’s growth is also driven by a team of more than 300 professionals, with a strong commitment to continuous training and technical specialisation, while maintaining the values of a family-owned business with over 125 years of heritage.
Investment in technology, automation and R&D
In 2025, the Group intensified its investment in technology, automation and R&D with the aim of improving industrial efficiency and strengthening competitiveness. Key initiatives included the installation of a new die-cutting machine, the implementation of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for internal logistics, plant automation and robotics projects, and the deployment of new production software designed to optimise production flows and increase operational capacity.
International recognition and award-winning projects
Alzamora Group’s value proposition was recognised in 2025 with international awards endorsing its ability to integrate innovation, design, functionality and sustainability. The Group received accolades at the WorldStar Packaging Awards, the European Carton Excellence Award and the Liderpack Awards.
Among the award-winning projects were the comprehensive solution developed for Cinco Jotas, which received the WorldStar Packaging Award 2025 in the Food category; a glue- and adhesive-free cartonboard cosmetic pack, winner of the Gold Award 2025 at the European Carton Excellence Award; personalised Christmas packs for Chupa Chups, honoured with the Liderpack Award for Best Food Packaging; and the Oil Premium Pack, recognised as Best Premium Pack for its distinctive triangular design.
The Group also continues to advance proprietary developments such as LatCub®, BotCub®, cosmetic packs and Enovo®, designed to replace plastic packaging with mono-material cartonboard solutions while improving logistics efficiency.
In parallel, progress continues on the Kidguard patent application, a cartonboard pack for detergents and resealable products with a strong focus on child safety, in line with the AUSE test (AIJU) and ISO 8317:2015. The solution is compatible with standard automatic packing lines and is currently in the pilot phase.
Strategic Plan 2025–2027
Looking ahead, Alzamora Group is advancing the implementation of its 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, aimed at consolidating growth across Europe and strengthening its position as a benchmark in sustainable cartonboard packaging.
