Now in its 21st year, the Hot 100 celebrates the achievements of individuals driving positive change across the waste and resources sector. The ‘Local Authority Leader of the Year’ category recognises the vital role of the public sector and the movers and shakers making a significant contribution within it.
One of three new categories for the 2024 list, alongside ‘Innovator of the Year’ and ‘Newcomer of the Year’, it seeks to highlight exemplary leadership that contributes to environmental stewardship. You can vote online until 31 July, with the official Hot 100 list announced in September.
Tom Giddings, executive director at Alupro, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural Local Authority Leader category in the Resource Hot 100. Local authorities are a key conduit to driving an uplift in recycling rates and promoting sustainable waste management practices, so we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the individuals that are really pushing the boundaries and demonstrating outstanding leadership.”
