Albéa Group, a global leader in sustainable cosmetic packaging, has announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Amfora Packaging, an innovative packaging company headquartered in Bogota, Colombia, with operations in Colombia and Peru. Amfora Packaging will bring to Albéa its expertise in the design, development, and production of plastic packaging for industries including fragrance, cosmetics, personal care, pharma. This acquisition will allow the Group to expand its presence in Latin America.
Founded by ACON in 2015, Amfora Packaging combined two family-owned businesses: Intecplast in Bogotá and Pieriplast in Lima. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Albéa’s expansion across Latin America, reinforcing its position in one of the fastest-growing markets for beauty & personal care. Through the two companies’ combined expertise, Albéa Group plans to expand its offer in color cosmetics, skincare, personal care and fragrance.
