The demand for flexible packaging solutions is evolving at a rapid pace. With the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) set to come into effect in just four years, manufacturers need to act now. Under the motto “adapting today for tomorrow,” adapa Group, the European partner of choice for flexible packaging, demonstrates how an early transition to packaging designed for recycling can reduce external pressure and ensure a smooth shift. Meet adapa Group at the Warsaw Pack trade fair in Nadarzyn, Poland, from 14 to 16 April 2026.
Performance meets Design for Recycling
Even though PPWR has been in force for nearly a year, many market participants are still hesitant to implement structures Designed for Recycling (D4R) due to various factors, including lack of information, cost concerns, or performance considerations. adapa is actively advancing the development of D4R packaging solutions and has already launched numerous products made from mono – PE, PP, and paper. In close collaboration with customers, associations, and industry partners, the flexible packaging specialist supports an early shift to alternative structures to ensure a smoother process once all details of the PPWR and its delegated acts are finalized. To simplify this transition for manufacturers, adapa’s D4R products are designed with performance in mind – combining reliable processes, high protective functions, and attractive appearance and point-of-sale presentation.
