Flexible packaging specialist Parkside has supported artisan crisp maker Two Farmers in the launch of its newest flavour, Herefordshire Sauce, continuing a successful and longstanding partnership built on shared sustainability values.
The new flavour is the latest addition to Two Farmers' hand-cooked crisp range, made using potatoes grown on the brand's own Herefordshire farms. Herefordshire Sauce delivers an umami-rich, piquant taste with a distinct savoury tang, inspired by a secret recipe that has been treasured for generations. It is the brand's first permanent new flavour in several years, and a central part of Two Farmers' new product development focus for 2026.
As with the full Two Farmers range, the new flavour is packed in industrially compostable flexible packaging manufactured by Parkside. Made from renewable feedstocks, the packs reduce reliance on petrochemical plastics and are independently tested and accredited to international standards for composting. At end-of-life, packs can be processed at industrial composting facilities or discarded in domestic waste streams where local authorities permit. The packaging carries carbon neutral certification, reflecting Two Farmers' ongoing commitment to sustainable production.
The bold and visually arresting pack design is a deliberate creative choice, complementing the existing Two Farmers range and reflecting the distinctive colour of the Herefordshire Sauce itself. The result is a strong example of how compostable packaging need not compromise on shelf presence or print quality.

The launch coincides with further sustainability development at Two Farmers, which has invested in a new granulator enabling it to break down compostable crisp packets into fragments. These are combined with production waste and fed into an on-site anaerobic digestion system to generate renewable energy, closing the loop on the brand's zero-waste ambitions even further.
