4evergreen, the cross-industry alliance perfecting the circularity of fibre-based packaging from across the industry’s value chain, announces its Annual Conference to be held in Brussels on 6 November.
With 4evergreen’s value chain approach to circularity, the conference will focus on how fibre-based packaging can continue to support the EU's green transition and circular economy goals to have an even more sustainable sector.
It will also explore the uptake of 4evergreen’s knowledge, innovative tools and guidelines in contributing to key legislation on packaging recyclability standards.
Representatives from the fibre-based packaging value chain, policymakers and key stakeholders will gather to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the sector, shaping the future of fibre-based packaging in Europe.
“The next steps to perfect fibre-based packaging circularity lie in innovation, improving recyclability and setting stronger incentives for collection and sorting,” says Benedetta Scuderi, Member of the European Parliament and the Greens / EFA Group. “We also need cross-industry collaboration to integrate circular principles throughout the value chain.”
Featuring high-level keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, the event will also showcase some of the best practices and success stories from 4evergreen members and partners.
These testimonials will be celebrated during our award ceremony for our 2nd annual Circularity Success Stories where member companies submit their breakthrough projects – whether individual or collaborative - that have been spurred by the alliance and can serve as inspiring examples of circular action.
“Our Annual Conference provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase innovations and forge collaborations that will drive the future of fibre-based packaging. This year, we are particularly focused on how our collective efforts can advance the EU’s sustainability and circular economy targets,” says Sarah Price, Chair of 4evergreen. Registration for the 4evergreen conference is possible until October 25 at 23.59 and can be done online here.
